Occasionally, you’ll need to save Instagram images to your computer or smart phone. Perhaps you shared a picture on a social networking site previously and then accidentally erased the source, or worse, misplaced the computer on which the image was saved.

You might even have images on the website that you shot with the in-app camera but did not save, or you might like to repost a picture from a buddy or colleague’s stream (with their permission, of course!)

Although uploading images to Instagram is easy, removing them is not. However, do not despair; this tutorial will walk you through the process of downloading Instagram images to your PC, Mac, or smartphone.

You can download the complete Instagram history by examining the source code for specific photos (it’s a lot simpler than it seems, we promise) or by using third-party software.
